Eggnog – Dairy-Free and Healthy (with vegan option)

You know, drinking calories is bad. Sometimes… but fuck it, it’s Christmas time. If there is a time to drink some warm milk-drinks, it’s now! It’s time for eggnog.

It’s not a sugar filled soda. It’s a spiced drink with healthy fats, protein and micronutrients. Sometimes when you are around heavy food it can make you feel good to consume liquid nutrition. It’s still natural food. Real food.

Sit on the sofa in front of the Christmas tree. Enjoy the lights, the mood and turn on your favourite Christmas movie. Enjoy your natural, dairy free eggnog. Marry Xmas!

 


Eggnog Fighterlicious Style

Ingredients:

  • 300ml almond milk
  • 100ml coconut milk
  • 3 egg whites
  • 2 Tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • ½ fresh vanilla
  • dash of nutmeg
  • ½ tsp cinnamon

 

Instructions:

  1. Blend all ingredients for a minute.
  2. Slowly heat it up on the stove for 10-15min while constantly whisking. Don’t boil it!
  3. Pour in cups and drink it warm or refrigerate over night and drink it cold. 

Note:

For more protein, you can add vanilla protein powder.

Vegan option:  Replace the eggs with additional 100ml coconut milk and 1 Tbsp Tapioca starch. Boil it on high heat until the drink has a thick consistency.
